Girl Meets World

We’ve been mulling around as to what to official call the team and so far, we’ve come up dry.  If you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know in the comments section below.  You can support my journey and women survivors of war rebuild their lives by THIS LINK.

But I’m so excited to share our Team Logo with you all – it is definitely something I absolutely love and would be proud wearing.  Fingers crossed I can try to get some sportswear bearing the logo, too!

Read on to see what our patches look like with our sponsored MAMMUT fleecewear! *does the excited dance*

NATSVILLE, USA

WASHINGTON — Left-handerRoss Detwiler was unable to help the Nationals inch closer to the National League East title as they lost to the Phillies, 6-3, at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday night.

Washington dropped its record to 93-61 and are four games ahead of the Braves, who edged the Marlins, 4-3, on a walk-off homer by Freddie Freeman. The magic number for the Nationals to win the NL East title remains five.

Fantasy Football Rx

4 Adds

Tashard Choice, RB, Bills – Most likely the only starting RB available in most leagues, Choice should get two weeks of starts with CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson ailing.

Golden Tate, WR, Seahawks – Catch or no catch, Russell Wilson is looking his way.

Andrew Hawkins, WR, Bengals – Added in many leagues by now, but Hawkins is emerging as a reliable target in Cincinnati.

Ramses Barden, WR, Giants – Hakeem Nicks is always a questionmark with his health, and Ramses had a stellar game against the Panthers Thursday night.  Eli is more than capable of spreading the ball to another WR mouth for Barden to be a reasonable fantasy play for the immediate forseeable future, and especially if Nicks gets hurt.

Injury Updates from Week 3

Ziad Dahdul

Here are some quick thoughts relating to injuries that could affect your week 4 lineup now that the dust has settled:

Reggie Bush: This is the biggest surprise from Sunday’s big injuries, as reports say he will play this week. The prevailing thought is that he bruised the knee, as MRI results came back negative for any structural damage. A knee bruise is a relatively broad diagnosis, but he basically had trauma to some bony region of the knee joint, which is great news considering they thought something was structurally wrong. He won’t do any more damage by playing on it, but will have to tolerate some pain. Wait for his participation in practice this week and act accordingly. Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas are still in play at this point.

Matt Forte: Per Jason LaCanfora (seriously follow thus guy in twitter, he’s pretty awesome @JasonLaCanfora), he’s not going to…

Cowboys Vs. Redskins

Can the Redskins Overcome their Secondary?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off of a loss to the Dallas Cowboys where the Bucs only tallied 110 passing yards. In the previous two games, Josh Freeman has thrown for  138- and 243-yards respectively.

Meanwhile, the Washington Redskins are 31st in pass defense, ironically the only team they’re better than are the Bucs.

The ‘Skins have already given up 1,012-yards through the air, failing to prevent any signal caller from throwing more than 300-yards.

Something has got to give. Either the Skins secondary will finally stand up, or Josh Freeman and company will light up the scoreboard. I don’t believe either fanbase believes that their representative in this battle can perform like they should, but the Redskins DBs have the best chance. If the horrid Panthers defense can stop Freeman, than the Redskins should be able to do the same.
