With the season only a month and some change away, the Brooklyn Nets are still adding to their revamped roster. With no one to back up center Brook Lopez, the franchise has decided to sign former Washington Wizards power forward Andray Blatche to a one-year deal worth the veterans minimum.

During the offseason, Blatche was amnestied and cleared waivers thus becoming an unrestricted free agent.

Last season, Blatche posted a PER of 10.63 which is far below the league average of 15. In the 26 games played he averaged 8.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

He was a problem last year whether it was him being out-of-shape or being cancerous to the locker room.

Blatche will join a frontcourt of Lopez, Kris Humphries, Reggie Evans, Ilkan Karaman and Mizra Teletovic.
