During the offseason and most of 2011, Redskin and Cowboy fans were in agreement that the ‘Skins may have a suspect offense going into the season, but could at the very least trust the front-seven of their defense.

Well…that just took a hit yesterday.

It’s been announced that two-time pro bowl linebacker Brian Orakpo and defensive end Adam Carriker will both miss the remainder of the season.

“Rak tore his pec in a little different spot on the right side,” Shanahan said. “It will be about four-month recovery time. So he’ll be gone for the season as well.”

Carriker reportedly tore a ligament between his quadriceps and knee.

Last year, it was the offensive line of Washington that was hit hard and often with injuries. The team was unable to move the ball consistently because of it and it became an issue for the entire season. Now it’s the defensive…
