Nats fall behind 7-0, Detweiler has a horrible outing in front of his home crowd. Looks like, unless Atlanta loses, clinching the NL East will have to wait until tomorrow.


Bryce Harper hits his 22nd home run of the year, moving him within two for the most ever by a teenage rookie.

Ian Desmond hits a double, scoring LaRoche. Espinoza hits a two run home run. Suddenly this is a 7-4 game.

In another example of the Romney campaigns ineptness, all week long they’ve been downplaying expectations for the debate. Then they send their number one surrogate, Chris Christie, onto all the Sunday talk shows, and what does she do? Raises expectations. Exponentially.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is casting Wednesday’s presidential debate as a potential game changer, saying that “come Thursday morning the entire narrative of this race is going to change.”
