Franchise quarterback Robert Griffin III seemed uninfluenced by the commotion surrounding the state of his physical health during his post practice meeting with the press today, stating in his affable way that ” my brain, my life, my future is more important than getting that touchdown. ” He went on to explain, “There are times to break the pocket and make plays, there are also times to take the check down and what the defense gives.”

Asked by Washington Examiner sportswriter John Keim if he was leery of taking that inevitable hit, he simply replied “no.” Later Coach Shanahan stated ” So far, so good,” and, “If he’s ready to go (Sunday), he’ll go.” He said that the Redskins star would continue to run when defenses dictated that it was the proper football move to make.
