There is justice in the world!

Maryland just announced that the NCAA has declared sophomore guard/forward Dez Wells eligible for the 2012-2013 season. Wells had been denied eligibility in his initial waiver request when he transferred to College Park.

After learning the fate of his star player, coach Mark Turgeon said that Wells is immediately part of Maryland’s plans going forward. He wouldn’t commit to how much playing time the former Xavier Muskateer would receive.

The good news is that Wells has been practicing with the team so he is familiar with the offense.

That becomes a mighty big deal seeing as the Terps travel to Brooklyn this Friday for a date with the Kentucky Wildcats in the Barclays Center Classic.
